A biomimetic soft adhesive disc inspired by the net-winged midge larva, a tiny aquatic insect with an exceptional ability to adhere to slippery, wet surfaces. The disc enables robotic adhesion-sliding on substrates that defeat conventional dry adhesives, opening up applications in soft aerial-aquatic perching.
