Hybrid Soft Electrostatic Metamaterial Gripper hero image

A hybrid soft gripper that combines electrostatic adhesion with metamaterial structural compliance, enabling adaptation across many surface materials and object shapes. The metamaterial layer provides mechanical adaptation while electrostatics handle the gripping force.

The project was a Best Paper Finalist in Excellence in Manufacturing Reproducibility at IEEE RoboSoft 2024.
