Biocompatible Ionic Polymer Membranes for Soft Actuators hero image

Low-cost, 3D-printed ionic polymer membranes designed for use in soft electroactive actuators. The biocompatible composition reduces the environmental and biological footprint of the resulting actuators, supporting sustainability goals in distributed and wearable robotics.

Developed collaboratively across material chemistry and soft robotics groups, this project lowers the cost barrier to ionic-polymer-based actuation.
